Today, I thought of trying a little Stencil Monoprinting and its come out quite nice.
Here is the card,
For the background, I used the Time Holtz Flourich stencil and the Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry distress inks. The trees were cut as triangles and the I used a chevron stencil, Tim Holtz Dots Fade stencil along with Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint distress inks. Die-cut the rectangles with MFT Wonky Stitched rectangles.
I wanted to do something different today... So, Parchment Craft was the best option. Didnt do a Parchment project for a long long time. And I had come across some very beautiful Parchment designs for Christmas so just thought of trying out one.
I just cant get my hands off the Kaisercraft Glisten collections. Its too beautiful. The papers, the collectables everything is so so amazing, I just dont feel like stopping. But my boys remind me to stop :-)
Well, here I am with yet another card using the Kaisercraft Glisten Collection.
Day 15 already... Thought of making a colorful card today. I tried making a card with the pattern stamping technique using the Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree and Merry Messages stamp set. I just can't keep my hands off these stamp sets. They are so amazing and versatile.
A simple card with some watercolor wash background is here today. I created the background with 3 shades of blue on a watercolor paper and cut the paper to size so that I can mat it onto the white cardstock. Before matting, I created a starry background using a 'stars' embossing folder.
From the remaining watercolored sheet, I die cut 3 'merry' word die cuts using the Winnie and Walter 'Merry' die. Adhered these words onto the embossed watercolored sheet and then added some sequins. Finished of the card by adhering this onto a cardstock.
The card has a monochromatic look to it. Here it is,
Well, its Sunday and its family time...So, I have come up with an extremely simple card today. Just some string of lights using the little light from the Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree and sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Merry Messages. Colored the lights with Sharpies, added some wink of stella abd detailed them with Sakura white Gelly Roll pen.
Although I dont really have a good Santa stamp set, I did get a little Santa from a local store here and its kind of cute.
I made this with this little dancing Santa, colored it with Sharpies and added some clear Wink of Stella. Used my latest Thanksgiving purchase from MFTStamps - Wonky Stiched Rectangle dies. The pattern paper used on the background is from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid collection.
Wow, day 9 already and am doing good. Today, I struggled a bit for some ideas but then my eyes fell on my newly bought distress markers and I just played along with them.
For this card, I created a background with distress markers - salty ocean, evergreen bough and weathered wood on a watercolor paper and I am in love with the outcome. Cut a panel of white cardstock with my newest Thanksgiving purchase from MFTStamps - the stitched rectangle frames dies. Adhered the panel onto the watercolor paper. A snawflakes with some KindyGlitz on it was perfect along with the sentiment from Lawn Fawn 'Merry Messages'.
Finshed off the card by adhereing the entire panel to a white cardstock.
Day 8 and I am having fun. Although I am struggling to get my work completed and posted(because of my 2 boys) it still is totally worth it.
Card that I am sharing today is created using a non-festive stamp set - WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals. I made wreath from this set and for the background I used the 'Merry' die from Winnie and Walter.I liked the texture the die-cuts have brought on the background,
Today, I have made a really simple card but I totally fell in love with it once it was done. I started of by die-cutting the white cardstock using the Winnie and Walter Audrey's cutaways. Stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Merry Messages and the gingerbread men from the Trim the Tree set. I cut to size a sheet from the the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid and card stuck it on my scored card.
Finally adhered the stamped cardstock onto scored sheet and the card is done.
Its Day 6 and the card that I made today is simple with some texture paste on the backgorund. This Holiday Series is making me explore a lot of different styles.
For today's card I started off with making the background with the Chevron stencil and homemade texture paste. I then die-cut the Christmas tree from Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree set and colored it. Also, added some Wink of Stella on the tree. I then die-cut and layered the 'Merry' word from the Winnie and Walter Merry die. The final layer of the word being the red glitter.
Finished off the card with some gold metallic wire and some gold sequins.
One of my favorite Christmas Carols is 'Jingle Bells' and today's card is all about Bells. I have used a lot of silver peel-off stickers for the borders and the corners and the Spellbinders Lattice Ornaments die set along with the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles die set. Loved the lattice mesh on the bells and of course the little bow that comes along with it.
Day 3 and here I am with yet another card. I made this with some die-cut snowflakes. Added some clear KindyGlitz for some glitter effect on the snowflakes. Cut a rectangular piece of watercolor paper and sprayed layers of Cracked Pistachio Distress Spray Stain. I also sprayed some of it on the snowflakes before gluing them on the watercolor paper. Finished off the card with some rhinestone on the snowflake center.
Foam mounted it on a white cardstock and the here is the ready card.
Its Day 2 and I am here with another card to share. This card is made using the Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree stamp set and a sentiment stamp that I got from Stamp-It Australia ages ago.
I used the sentiment as the background and then layered a rectangle piece of vellum onto it. Stamped and Die-cut the Christmas tree from the Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree set and colored it. Added some Wink of Stella for a little shimmer and foam taped the tree onto the vellum.
This is the very first time I have challenged myself to make something everyday. This being the month of Christmas I thought why not start the Holiday Series by making something Christmas-y everyday till the day of Christmas.
Well, I just hope to post everyday. It does get tough with 2 hyper-active boys to look after.
My first post today is a Christmas card made from the Kaisercraft Glisten Collection. I absolutely love this paper pack. Well, to me its a must have for this season.
Well, my next card is CAS card which I created with my ltest supplies from Avery Elle and Winnie and Walter. Love those 2 stamp sets.
Here is the card,
I used the Modern leaves stamp set from Avery Elle and The Big, the Bold and Friends from Winnie and Walter. Used Memento Dye inks for stamping and finished off the card enamel dots and Wink of Stella glitter on the stamped images.
I did say I have a couple of projects to post today. My next one is a simple mixed media page which I made for the Happy Little Stampers DT Call. Off late, I have been watching lots of videos by Marta Lapkowska and I love watching them. She is an amazing artist and so very inspiring.
Here is my page,
I started off on n old cardstock. To creted a little texture I randomly stuck some old washi tape on it(you can see if you look closely) and then applied some Heavy Gesso from Art Basics. Added the color to the page using Gansi Tanbi watercolors and sprays of water. The stuck the wooden embellishments(frame with pearls), chipboards, flowers, metallic wire and stamens. I then added clear glitter randomly using soft gel medium. Added the two sentiments from Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker sheet. Finally, sprayed some Dylusions Mica Sprays over the page.
Back with few cards after another short break. This time decided to do some watercoloring. I came across the DT call for Happy Little Stampers and thought of giving it a go.
Here is my card,
I started off with a watercolor wash on the Tim Holtz Distress watercolor cardstock with shades of blue using my brand new Gansai Tambi watercolors(my anniversary gift along with a few other goodies ;-) ). I then heat embossed the opposite corners using the Tim Holtz Flourish stencil. For my focal point, I did the emboss resist watercoloring technique with the flowers from the Penny Black Blooming Garden set and fussy cut them. Stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the My Favorite Things. Used foam tape to adhere the watercolored flowers at the center. Finally, layered this onto a black cardstock to complete the card.
